While visiting current students on their work term, we also found a Dexter Institute alumnus – all working on the Bayers Road street renewal project! This Halifax-based job entails widening of the area between Romans Avenue and Micmac Street in order to add dedicated bus lanes.
Working in the median on the very busy Bayer’s Road, Natalie loads unwanted material into a tandem dump truck for removal. Keep up the good work!
Prior to operating the Dynapac Roller for compaction, current student Blake was tasked with running an excavator to dig out unsuitables on the job site. Awesome job Blake!
Dexter Institute almunus Sebastian (Class of 2019), working on an adjacent street, operates an excavator to perform finishing work to prep for the sidewalk and curb. Thanks Sebastian for being such a great role model for our other students!
